Whitening is suitable for patients with healthy gums and no untreated tooth decay. It lightens natural teeth; existing crowns and fillings retain their original colour. Fillings in visible areas may therefore need to be replaced after whitening to achieve a harmonious shade.
Before treatment, a professional dental hygiene appointment is required to remove tartar and surface staining using AIRFLOW air polishing.
At-Home Whitening
Custom-made whitening trays are created from impressions of your teeth, allowing you to apply the whitening gel at home.
Treatment typically takes 15–20 days. Depending on the gel prescribed, the trays are worn during the day or overnight. During treatment, we recommend avoiding foods and drinks that may stain your teeth.
